Frequently asked questions
Does SiteSelf work with my store and theme?
It works with existing WordPress stores using WooCommerce; Shopify and Wix aren't currently supported. If your site uses Elementor, Divi or Beaver Builder, SiteSelf can update WooCommerce records and content outside the builder, but cannot edit builder-controlled content or layouts.
What should I send for a launch or promotion?
Send the products, prices, dates and terms involved, plus the pages you want changed. Point your agent to images already in WordPress. Rough notes are fine—SiteSelf can draft the wording from the facts you supply.
Can I review changes before they affect customers?
New products and pages can be prepared as drafts for review in WordPress. Existing listings, menus and theme changes can go live directly, so explain your timing first. Your agent explains the planned work and recovery options; restoring an older database can discard newer orders.
Will a promotion end automatically?
Discounts can end using WooCommerce sale dates or coupon expiry. Banners and offer pages need a follow-up request; SiteSelf doesn't return automatically to remove them.
What will I see when the work is finished?
A chat report lists the changed products, pages or settings and what your agent checked. SiteSelf checks data and page output, but doesn't test the shopping journey in a browser. Review the affected pages and buying steps yourself; payment checks need test mode and test orders that don't notify real customers.
What access does SiteSelf need?
Product and page updates use your WordPress connection. Code changes need file access through the SiteSelf plugin or hosting; some deeper work also needs hosting. If your developer publishes code through a separate process, that process still applies.
