If your agent breaks something
The short version. Tell us. We find what changed from the record of everything your agent did, and put it back where a way back exists. Our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. We do not carry insurance that covers this today.
What to do
Tell your agent in the chat what is wrong, and write to dev@refact.co so a person looks at it too.
What we do
- We find what changed. Every change your agent makes is recorded in your activity log.
- We tell you what we can put back, and how, before we do it.
- We put it back, using whichever of the ways back below exists for that change.
What the undo covers, and for how long
- Your agent's backups, on a site connected with server access. Your agent's tools take one of your database and files before many kinds of change, but not all. Each one is made and kept on your own server, in a private folder your website does not serve, not in a separate location, and the newest 5 are kept. Those taken before 24 September 2026 are on the servers that run the service: we keep up to 10 per site and delete any but the newest after 14 days.
- File versions. SiteSelf Connector keeps the last 25 versions of the files it replaced, in your site's own database.
- Your site's own page history, where WordPress is set to keep one.
Restoring your agent's backup puts the whole database back as it was. Anything that arrived since, such as orders, comments or form entries, would be lost, so we tell you what a restore would remove before we do it.
Some things have no way back: a change your agent took no backup before, a backup that has since been deleted, and anything outside your WordPress site and its hosting. Your agent is not authorised to write to any other system.
What we pay
We help put things right as part of the service. Our liability for loss is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We do not pay for indirect loss, such as lost sales or revenue. We do not carry insurance that covers this today.
This page explains the terms; where the two differ, the terms govern. Keep a backup of your own: your agent's backups are a convenience, not an archive.
